Let’s Celebrate Recovery Month

Every September, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration sponsors Recovery Month. Recovery Month is an effort to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders, as well as to celebrate those in recovery. While millions of Americans struggle with mental health and substance use disorders, many people are unaware that prevention efforts work and that these conditions can be treated, just like any other type of illness.

September 2017 will mark the 27th year of Recovery Month celebrations in the United States. Each year a theme is carefully selected to assist hundreds of facilities and thousands of professionals around the country who participate in Recovery Month. This year’s theme is “Join the Voices for Recovery: Strengthen Families and Communities.” At Rimrock, we will be highlighting the value of family and community support throughout recovery. We believe that strong family support is crucial to recovery!

As part of Recovery Month, Rimrock will again host our annual Pump-N-Run event. The Pump-N-Run is an effort to raise awareness and money to expand and improve the availability of prevention, treatment and recovery services to those in need. We encourage you to join us on Sunday, September 23rd, 2017! Click here to sign up or learn more information!

We also want to encourage everyone to help spread the word that recovery is possible. As the stigmas around mental health and substance use disorders are broken, more people can seek treatment without feeling fear or judgment. With your help, we can expand and improve the availability of effective prevention, treatment and recovery services for those in need.

If you are interested in how Rimrock can help you or a loved one on the journey to recovery, we are excited to talk to you. Our Admissions Department can be reached at the following phone numbers: 406-248-3175 or 800-227-3953. Normal admission hours are between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Mountain Time, Monday through Friday. However, we do have staff available anytime to take your call. Contact us today to begin your journey and to spread the message that recovery is possible.
