Freedom House
The goal of the Freedom House program is to provide a special level of care for eligible Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. After an initial inpatient stay of one to two weeks at Rimrock Foundation, our Vets are able to transfer to an apartment-like setting, outside of the main facility, where they may reside until the end of their stay in treatment. All other aspects of their program are concurrent with the inpatient population. They attend all programming & recreation, eat all meals and go to meetings with the rest of the patients. The off campus living arrangements are not a "step-down" in care, in the traditional sense, but a step out — toward a different way of life. A life free from addiction.
In 2002 Rimrock Foundation purchased the property that would become, after some serious renovation, the Freedom House. The house was updated to include six beds in three rooms for residents and one bedroom for the house manager. Facilities were upgraded to provide additional shower and bath accommodations, a laundry room with washer and dryer, and additional storage space. The local community responded heartily and made many valuable contributions and donations to the project, emphasizing the respect that they have for what our Veterans have done.
Rimrock Foundation is proud to be able to cooperate with the staff of the Veteran's Administration, who have been of immeasurable assistance, and to be able to give something back to those who have given so much of themselves, for all of us.
