cocaine "Inpatient" refers to a program setting where patients live and stay at the facility. The program typically lasts four to five weeks and includes medical supervision. The primary objective of inpatient treatment is to help the patient achieve and maintain a drug-free lifestyle. But successful recovery initiates benefits beyond just being "drug-free", such as decreased involvement in illegal activities; increased productivity in work or school settings; improved social, family, and psychological functioning; and improved physical health. Improved psychological and family functioning makes improvement in other areas of life possible.

Inpatient Treatment is the first step on the path to healing. Our programs for addictions, compulsive disorders and co-occurring disorders include the following:
Medical Detoxification
Medical Assessment, Stabilization, Nursing Care
Psychological Evaluation and Psychosocial Assessment
Psychiatric Evaluation
Nutritional Evaluation and Stabilization
Multi-disciplinary Individualized Treatment Planning
Individual/Group/Family Therapy
Educational Lectures
Recreation Therapy and Leisure Education

A special note about our Family Program

When a loved one becomes chemically dependent their behavior will change. To accommodate these changes in the addict, each family member changes his or her own behavior. Unfortunately, however, the accommodations and changes do not help, and family members feel confused, fearful, inadequate, unworthy and ashamed.

The Foundation helped pioneer the concept of family treatment because of our belief that addiction involves the entire family; each member suffers with the dependent person, and requires special care and attention. Our intensive family week program is designed to help each family member discover new, healthy ways to cope with life and recovery.
