Malcolm Horn, Ph.D., LCSW, MAC, SAPDirector of Mental Health Services

Dr. Horn received her Doctorate in Psychology, with a teaching emphasis, from Walden University and has over a decade of progressive clinical experience working with the complex diagnoses that often accompany addictions and co-occurring disorders. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is licensed by the State of Montana as an Addiction Counselor (LAC). She is certified as an SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) to conduct assessments for those with a safety-sensitive position under the Department of Transportation. She also has accreditation from the NAADAC (National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselors) as a Masters Level Addiction Counselor (MAC). Malcolm is responsible for ongoing training and education for clinical and support staff.

Ben Randolph, MSW, SWLC, MAC

Ben was raised in Billings and received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Social Work from the University of New England. He is an Addiction Counselor licensed by the State of Montana (LAC) and has accreditation from the NAADAC (National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselors) as a Masters Level Addiction Counselor (MAC). He also is completing his licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (SWLC). Ben has worked at Rimrock since 2012 where he has gained experience in all levels of care.

Ben believes in an integrated approach to health and wellness where the person is the creator of change. He employs a variety of therapies when working with individuals, couples, and families, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal therapy to treat addiction and co-occurring disorders. He is also a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. Ben’s special interests include trauma, anxiety disorders, cultural-relational issues, and integrative modalities.

Carrie Reeves, MA, LCPC, LAC, CCTP

Carrie is a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). She received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Carrie integrates Person-Centered Care with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other psychotherapeutic practices. She originally gained a passion for therapy while serving as a Resident Advisor in her undergraduate program where she witnessed the impact of unaddressed trauma and mental health symptoms. Carrie loves to watch others grow through their healing process, be empowered to reach their goals, and learn to see their personal value. In her free time, Carrie enjoys hiking with her two dogs and her husband, listening to live music, or staying home with a good book and hot cup of tea.

Liz Smith, MS, LCPC, LAC, CCTP

Liz earned a Master of Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Capella University and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Liz began her career at Rimrock in 2014 as an intern and realized she loved the holistic approach utilized in addiction treatment. She is passionate about working with those struggling with codependency, personality disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders. She specializes in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Liz believes individuals do the best they can with what they have. She is a Client-Centered Therapist and creates a safe, nonjudgmental environment with unconditional positive regard. She uses Gestalt Therapy techniques along with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help her clients explore ongoing emotions in the here and now.
