Treatment, Education & Prevention

Like the Rimrocks that hug our community in a circle of protective, welcoming strength, Rimrock has proudly encircled our community with a commitment to be the leading provider addiction treatment in our area for over 40 years. We are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our patients and our community. By providing addiction treatment, education, and prevention, we work every day to live up to our devotion that #RimrockIsRecovery. We’d like to share with you some of the many ways we support treatment and recovery in our community.

TREATMENT

Rimrock’s unique, therapeutic learning environment promotes whole person and whole community healing. We provide all levels of care to assure our patients receive the appropriate care necessary to meet their needs and address their addiction issues. Our staff of over one hundred fifty professionals have one mission – helping our patients choose freedom and health over addiction.

Our admissions department is here to help determine the most appropriate level of care for prospective patients. Licensed Addiction Counselors and Licensed Mental Health Counselors, provide adult screening and placement services and adolescent screening and placement services to anyone wishing to undergo a chemical dependency assessment.

For adults struggling with addiction, Rimrock provides detoxification, inpatient, intensive outpatient, day treatment, and outpatient services. Rimrock also provides adolescent residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient services, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). Rimrock’s Adult and Adolescent Aftercare programs provide ongoing support for patients early in recovery who have recently completed a more intensive treatment program.

Rimrock supports family members and friends addressing addiction issues with a loved one by facilitating interventions led by our Certified Intervention Practitioner. Rimrock has the only Nationally Certified Intervention Professional in the state and can provide intervention services anywhere in the country. Rimrock can also support families facing addiction as they learn how to support their loved one in treatment and address issues of co-dependency.

If you are concerned about yourself, or a friend or family member who may have an addiction, Licensed Addiction Counselors are available to answer your questions and address concerns. You can call 800-227-3953 any time or request more information through our confidential, secure online form.

EDUCATION

Rimrock offers several educational opportunities tailored to meet the needs of licensed professionals or those seeking licensure. We provide an opportunity to train with experienced professionals in a hands-on environment working with addicted individuals in a full continuum of care. Rimrock also provides a comprehensive clinically based internship or practicum program based on the learning objectives set by each participant’s educational institution.

For those seeking licensure, Rimrock offers a training program to provide the supervision hours required for state or national licensure in addiction and mental health counseling. Rimrock is also a NAADAC Certified Educator and provides the best opportunities for clinicians who need continuing education.

For organizations in our community, Rimrock provides in-house lunch and learn trainings for professionals seeking state approved CEU credit hours as well as free presentations.  We have experts available to present on a wide range of subjects including addictions, mental health, healthy communication skills, adolescent issues, and more. Give us a call at 406-248-3175. We’d love to come to your organization!

In September, Rimrock also hosts an annual Symposium open to the public to provide learning opportunities regarding addiction and co-occurring disorders to members of our community. This year’s Symposium, “The Future of Addiction Medicine: Advances in Mental Health & Addiction Treatment,” provided from a day of learning how substance abuse disorder and mental illness are traumatizing our communities and how we can respond. Rimrock’s Symposium is CEUs approved for LAC, LMFT, LCSW, LCPC and includes a hosted lunch and vendor exhibit area.

Rimrock also emphasizes educating our community through our interviews with local media outlets, our blog posts and social media posts, as well as events like our annual Pump-N-Run for Recovery where we provide a healthy, fun way for the community to come out and support our family, friends and neighbors in their recovery.

PREVENTION

To help prevent re-offenses of DUIs, Rimrock facilitates the ACT (Assessment, Course, and Treatment) program, a State of Montana requirement for individuals who have been convicted of a DUI or similar offense.

Through Silverleaf, Rimrock provides a full continuum of care through this 12-24 month program of treatment services accessible by six local treatment courts. Treatment Courts serve offenders aged eighteen or older who reside in Billings or Yellowstone County and who have been charged with an offense that is related to their addiction to mood-altering substances. Rimrock is the only treatment provider for these courts, and through this service we strive to prevent future offenses by addressing underlying addiction issues.

Rimrock offers drug testing services to help identify individuals of all ages struggling with addiction. Rimrock is also proud to offer Department of Transportation qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) services. Our SAP program allows for assessment, referral, treatment, education and testing in one comprehensive setting, saving employers and employees time and money. Rimrock keeps the safety of our community as our first priority and can also provide recommended treatment and education for those in need.

In an effort to meet the growing mental health needs of students, Rimrock has partnered with School District 2 to develop the Integrated School Based Program. Rimrock provides a clinician who is dually credentialed within the three high schools as well as the Career Center to provide services for students experiencing difficulties related to a mental health issues, substance use issue, or both. Clinicians can provide assessments for both chemical dependency and mental health issues, referrals for appropriate services outside of school, individual counseling, group counseling, and early screening/intervention for students found to be utilizing mood altering chemicals.

We are committed to supporting our community as we work to make improvements in all areas of life affected by addiction. If you need help assisting a loved one seek help, need help yourself, or want to learn more about treatment and recovery, please call 800-227-3953 or email us today.
